HUM Foundation is a non-profit organization focused on empowering underprivileged girls through education, skill development, and personal growth. Founded by Ms. Najma Z. Shaikh in 2011, our mission is to provide marginalized girls with the opportunities they deserve to break free from poverty and lead empowered lives.

Our flagship project, Angelz Hut, offers shelter, food, and education to girls from broken families, providing a safe space to learn and grow. Additionally, Involve Me & I Learn helps reintegrate school dropouts, inspiring them to continue their education.

In the summer of May 2014, while working in Ambojwadi, Malwani, Mumbai, we came across a family of six girls, supported by a single mother. Due to a lack of resources, the children were malnourished and had never been to school. Among them were Nirmala (9) and Ujala (7), two sisters eager to learn. Seeing their potential, we legally adopted them and brought them to Angelz Hut, our shelter home. Although they had no formal education, we provided home tutoring to help them catch up. By June 2015, they were enrolled in school, ready to begin their academic journey. Their story is just one of many at Angelz Hut, where every child is given the chance to thrive through education, love, and care.
